YOUR STORY IS YOUR POWER
A one-day immersive workshop to help you communicate with clarity, confidence and impact
Great leaders have great ideas. Remarkable leaders make those ideas spread.
What’s the difference?
It isn't intelligence.
It isn't experience.
It's story.
Today, the world is not run by the most competent people. It's run by the most confident. By the people who know how to tell a story compelling enough that others buy in.
Your story is the most powerful thing you have.
Most people don’t realise the power of their own stories.
How one chance encounter, a small thing someone said to you, an unexpected twist of events, a catastrophic failure can lead to an idea that can genuinely change the world.
About this workshop
Many people assume:
· That only loud and naturally outgoing people can tell compelling stories
· That people only want to hear stories from senior figures
· That the stories they have are boring and mediocre
· That people want to hear the facts and stats instead
· That ‘storytellers’ are people who wear natural fibres and sit cross-legged and talk in creepy voices
But here is the truth: No one in the world ever wakes up and thinks to themselves: I really want to hear a presentation today. But everyone wants to hear a story. In fact, it’s the first thing we look for.
Storytelling is the most commercial skill there is.
It can be trained for.
And the raw material: your raw material, is far richer than you think.
The more senior you become, the more your stories count.
The leaders with influence know you can’t wait to develop this skill when get there. You develop it so that you get there.
The amazing thing about stories is this:
The most junior person in the room, the one with the least experience, the fewest credentials, can tell a story so compelling that the entire room turns to them. Not because of their title. Because of their truth.
Storytelling is both the great equaliser and the great catalyst.
Many businesses recognise this.
So they invite storytelling trainers in. Those trainers arrive with a slide deck. They give you the theory. The acronyms. The formulas.
And you leave knowing everything about storytelling except how to do it.
There is a better way to learn.
And it comes from theatre.
For this event, you learn from a West End director and an award-winning playwright.
They will treat you exactly as they treat the top performers they work with.
Because that's what you are.
The process is the rehearsal process. The same one used to prepare the greatest performers in the world.
You will learn:
How to turn the stories already inside you into powerful tools for influence
How to make your story even more compelling
How to use your body and your breath to own the space
How to choose the details that make a room lean in and cut the ones that don't
How to find the turning point: the single moment that changes everything
How to arrive and convey presence
How to make your voice do what you need it to
How to handle nerves so they work for you, not against you
What this is:
A practical, rehearsal based experience
Multi-seniority, multi-industry
A place where we love to fail
Intimate (15 – 20 people max)
What this is not:
A business-skills training (check out our other programs for that)
A theory-based workshop (though you will learn lots)
Somewhere to see and be seen
Who this workshop is for:
This workshop is designed for people who regularly need to:
Pitch ideas
Influence stakeholders
Lead teams
Represent their organisation
Step into a bigger room than they've been in before
Make complex ideas land simply
Speak to boards, clients or senior audiences
Tell their story in a way that opens doors
Or anyone who simply wants to feel more confident and compelling when they speak.
Participants typically include senior leaders, emerging leaders and ambitious professionals who know communication matters and want to get better at it.
What makes this workshop different
Most communication courses focus on presentation techniques.
This workshop focuses on something deeper: story and presence.
Together we explore:
• how to craft a story that people actually remember
• how to speak with clarity and authority under pressure
• how to hold attention without forcing it
• how storytelling naturally builds confidence
Our workshops deliberately mirror the rehearsal process used in theatre.
That means the day is:
• practical
• relaxed
• highly interactive
• playful but purposeful
You won’t sit through slides.
You will experiment, rehearse and try things out, supported by expert coaching.
What happens on the day?
Group workshop
Storytelling skills and personal story exploration
Rehearsal-style coaching on delivery and presence
Opportunity to share elements of your story in a supportive environment
