FIND YOUR BIGGER WHY
McKinsey found that leaders with a strong sense of personal purpose are 1.5 times more effective. The question is — do your people know theirs?
Most people spend their entire career getting good at what they’re doing. This workshop is about knowing why you’re doing it.
The clients Rosie sees who are burned out, stuck, or resentful have one thing in common. They've been operating without their Bigger Why, or at odds with it.
When you don’t know your Bigger Why, the default is to chasing money or recognition or lose motivation all together. Neither ever fills the gap.
Rosie calls it success fatigue: hitting the goal and feeling nothing.
The Bigger Why is what makes the journey mean something. Not just the destination.
And when they find it? The decisions that were keeping them up at night become obvious. The confidence on the inside starts to match the outside. The energy that was going into doubt goes straight into leading.
This workshop finds it for them. Before it becomes your problem.
What is a Bigger Why?
It's your ultimate purpose. The reason behind everything you do — underpinning your values, your belief system, who you are as a person.
Something intruiging: no two people have the same Bigger Why.
Rosie has coached over 1,000 senior leaders and reviewed 256 coaching sessions looking for a pattern. She didn't find one. Two people can work in identical roles, in the same organisation, and have completely different Bigger Whys.
Which means you can't guess it, assign it, or choose it from a values poster/
You have to find it yourself. That's what this workshop is for.
Why it matters to your organisation:
Leaders who know their Bigger Why make better decisions, faster, and with more conviction.
They build deeper trust because they lead from a genuine place.
They bounce back from setbacks without turning inward.
They lead with empathy because they can meet others in their why.
And critically, they stop being people who perform and start being people who act.
If you want to transform your team from one that works hard to one that makes a difference, it will happen when everyone connects their work to their Bigger Why. This workshop is the answer.
What your people will leave with
Their Bigger Why: articulated, understood, and owned
Clarity on what drives them at their best and what depletes them
A personal brand story rooted in purpose
The confidence that comes from knowing exactly who they are and why it matters
A shared language or purpose across your team that deepens trust and connection
What to expect
This is an active session. Your people will reflect, write, share, and leave with something ready to use.
We start with what a Bigger Why actually is and what it isn't.
Then we go to work finding it. The Bigger Why is often found in three places.
Something you were lucky enough to receive: A person who saw your potential before you did, who gave you something you didn't know you needed. Very often, the thing we give most generously to the world is the thing we needed most ourselves.
Something you had to fight for: Viktor Frankl observed that the people who survived the most appalling circumstances were the ones who had a Bigger Why. Sometimes your pain is a trampoline.
Something you believe the world needs: Sharmadean Reid walked away from a profitable business because it had drifted so far from her Bigger Why she couldn't justify continuing. She went on to become the first Black woman in the UK to secure seed funding. Knowing your why can help you go from restless to focussed. Because you decide what matters, what doesn't, and where to put your energy.
We don’t tell your people what their Bigger Why is. We'll give them the space, the questions, and the guidance to find it themselves.
Who this is for
Executives especially. Because the higher you climb, the less anyone asks you how you're doing or what you actually care about. At that level, the expectation is that you already know. Most don't. And the cost of that, in decisions made from the wrong place, in teams who can't quite follow, in success that doesn't feel like enough, is enormous.
And emerging leaders finding their feet. Senior leaders who've been delivering for years but sense something is missing. High performers who are brilliant at the what and the how — and ready to find the why.
Who delivers it

“The examples Rosie uses are so good. You walk in thinking your story isn’t interesting enough and you walk out realising it’s the most interesting thing about you.””
