Confidence is the skill that lifts how teams perform — and how leaders lead.
ROSIE DALLING
Hi, I’m Rosie Dalling, founder of The Boost.
The most common leadership issues aren’t skills problems, they are confidence problems.
Many people fall into the trap of assuming confidence is a feeling you must wait to experience before stepping up. It’s not. I teach the language of confidence - a set of skills developed from my theatre background, experience as a relationship coach and leadership trainer.
I work with Execs and their teams in some of the UK’s most complex organisations, helping them strengthen leadership, communication, and relationships when the pressure is on.
Organisations come to me when their leaders are already capable, but need help showing up with the confidence their role demands.
That can manifest as:
Hesitation or avoiding difficult conversations
Underplaying authority in the room
Struggling to get the best out of their team
The higher you climb, the fewer people you can be honest with. At senior level, there's an unspoken rule that you should already know - and admitting you don't feels like a risk you can't afford.
I create a rehearsal space. Somewhere to try things out, get things wrong, and work out what actually works — before the stakes are high. And then I show you how to build that same space with your own team.
For over a decade, I’ve partnered with executive leaders around the world. Working 1:1 and with leadership teams, in person and virtually, to build confidence in how they communicate, relate to others, and lead.
The Boost creates communities of leaders, all speaking the language of confidence - inspiring their teams and shaping a culture where confidence (and therefore courage) is contagious.

The leaders we work with perform better in the LONG term.
We train our participants to become leaders who raise the ceiling for everyone around them.
Most leadership development doesn't stick. Not because the training isn't good, but because behaviour change doesn't happen in a day. It requires a specific set of conditions to create lasting behavioural change: a creative environment, repetition and reflection and elite performance coaching.
A one-off workshop is an expensive way to get a short-term lift. But there's another reason they don't work: one person learning a new language in isolation can't change a culture. When we partner with organisations over time, something different happens — teams start to share the same language of confidence. And when everyone speaks it, it stops being a skill one person has. It becomes the way your organisation leads.
“Rosie and The Boost massively boosted the communication skills of my team - across executive presence, trust and connection, storytelling, delivery, and leading engaging meetings. We couldn’t be happier with this impact.
My teams loved the practical, rehearsal-based tools that are engaging, memorable, and immediately usable - not theory or one-off inspiration.”

THE BOOST METHOD
The Rehearsal Space
Safety without challenge stunts growth. Challenge without safety shuts people down.
I create a rehearsal-style environment that’s rarely possible in corporate settings — carefully designed through a specific combination of structure, challenge, safety and practice. It’s not a generic safe space, but a carefully curated environment where leaders can test ideas, practise real moments and experiment under conditions that mirror the pressure of real work.
Many leaders struggle at the extremes: too little psychological safety, where challenge disappears, or too much, where standards drop. This environment creates for both. Once they’ve experienced that balance for themselves, leaders want to learn how to recreate it for their own teams. I show them the exact method.
Techniques Shaped Across Disciplines
Most ‘strategy’ problems are actually ‘behaviour’ problems.
Leaders often look at competitors and wonder why similar strategies, talent and resources produce very different results. The gap is not intent or intelligence, but how leaders communicate, decide and show up under pressure.
I combine theatre-based storytelling, relationship coaching and cross-sector leadership insight: shaped by years of work with leaders from government to tech, to translate what’s proven to work in one high-stakes environment directly into yours.
The techniques I use are current, tested and applied directly to how leaders behave in real moments.
Performance in Practice
Insight alone doesn’t generate sustained behavioural change.
I focus on performance in the truest sense: how leaders turn insight into action, reflect on what actually happened, and adjust how they show up next time.
Leaders use clear reflection tools to review real meetings, presentations and conversations - focusing on impact, not just intent - and make small, specific shifts that change outcomes.
This includes relational performance: how leaders listen, respond, set boundaries and build trust, so confidence is felt not just in what they say, but in how others experience them.
